On February 5, 2025<\/strong>, we had the pleasure of experiencing a very special event at our XXL truck parking lot in Vockerode: The ceremonial handover of the first four all-electric Mercedes-Benz E-Actros in the whole of Saxony-Anhalt<\/strong> to the company Schade Logistik from Jessen (Elster)<\/strong> by the Mercedes dealership Peter<\/strong>. An important milestone for electric mobility in heavy goods transport – and we were able to be there live! <\/p>\n\n

A special day full of exciting encounters<\/h2>\n\n

Of course, we were not the only ones interested in this innovative step. Numerous guests and industry experts came together for this special occasion: <\/p>\n\n

\u2705 The team from Peter car dealership<\/a><\/strong>\u2705 Bj\u00f6rn Schade<\/strong> (Schade Logistics)<\/a>\u2705 Andreas Bussas & Tim Baumeister<\/strong> (Milence)<\/a>\u2705 A television team from Mitteldeutscher Rundfunk (MDR)<\/a><\/strong>\u2705 Representatives of the Mitteldeutsche Zeitung<\/a><\/strong>\u2705 Our XXLKW<\/strong> team with Managing Director Gerhard Hauptstein<\/strong>, Site Manager Denis Wolf<\/strong>, Project Manager Thomas Zwies<\/strong> and Shop Manager Mandy Wolf<\/strong><\/p>\n\n

While the E-Actros <\/strong>were being charged at the Milence superchargers <\/strong>on our XXL truck Secure Parking Elbebr\u00fccke <\/strong>, there were exciting discussions about the future of electric mobility in heavy goods transport. Our store provided everyone present with delicious snacks and hot coffee<\/strong> so that we could exchange ideas in a relaxed atmosphere. <\/p>\n\n

First test drives with the E-Actros – an impressive experience<\/h2>\n\n

Of course, we couldn’t resist the opportunity to experience the new vehicles in action. We took the modern E-Actros<\/strong> for a spin on our premises and were impressed by the smooth running and driving comfort of the new tractor units. A real experience that showed us once again how the transport industry will\/could change in the future. <\/p>\n\n

A perfect finish in the Alberts Treibhaus<\/h2>\n\n

After the successful event, all participants went to our neighboring <\/strong>Restaurant Alberts Treibhaus<\/a><\/strong>where we rounded off the day with a small but delicious buffet. Conversations continued in a stylish atmosphere – a wonderful end to an unforgettable day. <\/p>\n\n
